I had the opportunity to work with Lara Casey and the lovely ladies of Southern Weddings Magazine a few months ago on a really neat project. They were working on a photo shoot in Watercolor, Florida for the upcoming issue of the magazine. One of the best things about this experience was the people I was surrounded by. Yes the models were gorgeous, the table decor divine with details galore, but I walked away realizing I spent the last few days with some super talented people. The photographer line was unbelievable (Jory Cordy, Fred Egan, Jeff Holt, and Kyle Barnes) the stylist (Joy Thigpen and Ashley) were seriously amazing and super creative. I also got to meet the lovely Emily Ayer for the first time. Okay, I have to stop here for a moment. I ended up working closely with Emily on her table scape and saw exactly why she is part of Lara’s team. Not only is she one of the sweetest people I have ever met, you can tell that she is very passionate about what she does, and such a joy to work with. I soon realized what happens when you put that many talented people in an environment together, I think Lara called it “Spontaneous Combustion” and I think she was right. I am so honored and proud to say that I was a part of the Watercolor shoot. By no means can I take any credit for what took place, but I can tell you that I witnessed magic in the making and that’s enough for me.
Here’s a peek at the spread, but you are going to have to go get your own copy to see all the other eye candy that this magazine is chock full of!
