Last year I had the privilege of working with Loving Legacy Photography on Patricia and Jason’s one-of-a-kind affair in Alys Beach. The modern and contemporary design of this event reflected a certain edginess and uniqueness about the couple. This event featured florals in monochromatic hues of fuchsia done, as well as adorable magnet favors and a fabulous photo booth.

Melanie and David shared an intimate ceremony on Amelia Island with just the two of them and their beautiful little girl. A few weeks later they lived it up at their extravagant reception complete with an amazing electric violin performance, photo booth, cigar roller, and killer sweets buffet. Lauren Kinsey was there to photograph this fabulous affair.

This spring I had the pleasure of working with Lauren Kinsey Photography on Maureen and Andy’s big day! The couple shared a sunset ceremony on the beach followed by an intimate reception with a vintage flair. This waterfront venue provided a beautiful ocean view backdrop and Lauren Kinsey was there to capture all the sweet and simple details.

{Blog Love} Bohemian Shoot On Every Last Detail

Earlier this spring Mari Darr Welch called and asked if I wanted to be a part of an inspiration shoot she was doing. Lauren Grove, editor of the Every Last Detail Blog, was looking for local talent to put together a stylized shoot for the launch of her new blog. Let me just say that I think ELD is an excellent resource for brides to go and be inspired. Laurens “Inspiration Gallery” is a wonderful tool, so of course I said yes and from there we hit the ground running. We brought in the uber talented Brian Watson, owner of Myrtie Blue, to take care of all our floral and decor goodies. We also worked with the fabulous Renee Armour from Chez Renee who brought in some yummy vintage rental props and pieces. Together we decided on “Bohemian Beach” as our theme and found a little nook at Alys Beach as our backdrop. Once we found dresses we asked the gorgeous Christina Gillon, owner of Fete Events, to be our model. I really enjoyed working on this project and love the end result. We hope you do too! Behind the Scenes of a Vue Shoot!

Last summer I got the chance to work with the lovely ladies of Vue Photography, Genya and Wesleyann. They were entering the Southern Weddings Cover contest and asked me to help style and assist the day of the shoot. The ladies already had a plan that included a tree swing, a pecan orchard, and bushels of juicy peaches. Little did I know they had also arranged for the fabulous Diva Productions to film a behind the scenes look of the shoot. Styling shoots has has become a second passion for me next to planning weddings, and boy did I have fun with this one. Take a peek for yourself and see why.

Last year we received an inquiry from a bride in Australia planning a wedding in her hometown of Fort Walton Beach. Come to find out we went to high school together, so I was delighted to help her with her wedding plans. Margery was absolutely stunning in her Vera Wang gown and Dan made for a handsome groom in his traditional tails. The couple had a traditional church ceremony followed by an intimate reception photographed by the super sweet and oh-so-talented duo of Meg Baisden Photography. Last fall I had the pleasure of working with Mary Beth Tyson Photography on Melissa & Kents wedding! Mary Beth did an amazing job of capturing the sheer beauty of the day. The bride wanted a traditional and elegant wedding using various shades of plums, purples, and pinks. One of my favorite elements from this soiree was the oversized paper lanterns illuminating the clear top tent overlooking the Destin Harbor. Absolutely breath taking.

I have been dying to blog this wedding! When I first saw the sneek peek photos from Laurens bridal session with the incredible Rae Leytham, I knew the wedding was going to be fantastic! Don’t you just love the photo of her with the horse? Hello gorgeous! Lauren, Marc, and their families were such a dream to work with. They got married last year at the beautiful Pensacola Country Club. Fresh citrus colors were the name of the game. Who doesn’t love the smell of citrus fruit? There was a story behind lemons pertaining to how Marc proposed to Lauren, so I loved that they were present on their wedding day as well.

Inspiration at Pebble Hill Part II

Part two of our inspiration shoot at Pebble Hills ties together a modern avant garde look with a southern equestrian flair. Our color palette was white, icy blue, and touches of silver. One of my favorite details was the silver magnolia leaves as well as an appearance made by a pretty little pooch! Enjoy!
