This spring, we had the opportunity to design a WaterColor wedding with an elegant garden aesthetic for the Alberts. With beautiful nearby gardens and the Florida coastline close by, this design was a true reflection of the southern coastal landscape at WaterColor Inn & Resort.
Their Love Story
It all started on the historical cobblestones of Auburn University, where Jack met Caitlyn at a National Championship party. A few days later, Jack helped Caitlyn move in some furniture and the couple went on their first date. Little did they know, this was the start of their love story. Fast forward two years, Jack proposed to Caitlyn in her hometown of Rosemary, Florida.
As a social couple, it was important for Caitlyn and Jack to host a fun-filled wedding weekend for their guests. Thus the inspiration for their social WaterColor wedding in Santa Rosa, Florida began!
WaterColor LakeHouse Wedding Ceremony
Caitlyn and Jack exchanged their vows at the WaterColor LakeHouse on a beautiful spring day. Family and religion are important to the two, so they opted for a traditional Christian wedding ceremony. We honored traditions with a timeless wood cross backdrop draped in elegant white flowers and greenery.
Along with Myrtie Blue, we transformed the signature cedar aesthetic of the LakeHouse into a dreamy WaterColor wedding ceremony. Light and airy draping, white florals, and white chairs were chosen to bring this design to life.
A Light & Airy WaterColor Wedding Design
For the wedding reception, Caitlyn wanted an elegant garden wedding with subtle coastal touches to remind guests of the surrounding coastal setting. Her wedding colors included shades of white, taupe, and green. It was the perfect combination for this light and airy design.
The goal of the reception was to create a social atmosphere with mingling, food stations, and lots of dancing versus a formal sit-down dinner. To bring this cocktail-style wedding reception to life, we started with a focal bar in the middle of the reception tent. From there, we built out intimate lounge groupings and mixed table settings to help encourage movement with the guests. The center of the tent was lined with beautiful banquette seating with tall floral arrangements. Above the dance floor hung a stunning floral and greenery installation that was the perfect garden-inspired touch for this couple’s design.
From the vendor crew to the guests Caitlyn and Jack’s wedding day was such a fun and high-energy day! We loved pulling together this timeless wedding design inspired by an elegant garden in the heart of WaterColor, Florida.
