Farron + Eric | Seaside, Florida Wedding

Add a black tie wardrobe, a traditional ceremony in the Seaside Chapel, and tulle to a classic-fitted lace dress and you have one of the most opulent affairs on 30-A. The whimsical blooms and classic candelabras completed the prettiest tablescape on the pristine Lyceum lawn in Seaside, FL.

From the bride:

How we met:
After moving to Houston for work, I ran into Eric while out with friends at a local hot spot. We had previously met briefly through mutual friends during our college days and recognized each other. It was there where we swapped numbers and the rest is history!
Proposal:
Eric and I had planned our first trip abroad to London during May of 2014. We arrived our first day in London with a full day planned. We first stopped off at one of my favorite markets to pick up a bottle of champagne and a few small bites and then we headed to Regents Park. As we arrived at the park it started to down pour and neither of us had umbrellas. I was quick to suggest we head back to the tube station and try again tomorrow, but Eric was insistent on seeing Queen Mary’s Garden (really?). Although completely drenched, I amused him and we continued on our walk stopping at one point to dry my hair under a hand blow dryer in th bathroom.  It was only a few minutes after we arrived at the gardens that the sun came behind the clouds and we were left the only two people in the park. It was there where he proposed! As if the day couldn’t get any better, we finished our bottle of champagne and headed back to the hotel to find my parents at the hotel who had flown all the way to London to help us celebrate. We spent the rest of the weekend together enjoying what will forever be my favorite city!
Planning Process:
I absolutely loved the wedding planning process! We knew we wanted to have an outdoor wedding and Seaside had always been one of our favorite beach spots. We booked the Seaside Chapel and Lyceum Lawn almost immediately after we returned from our trip. It was the perfect spot for us to host all of our family and friends for a weekend of celebrating!
I loved working with Shelby to design our black tie beach wedding. Although traditional in style, Brian at Myrtie Blue was able to add a pop of color into the floral design – coral and pink – which was absolutely stunning and perfect for a May wedding. From the flowers to the cake to the band our reception was amazing in every way. It’s been over two years since our big day and we still have guests who rave about how much fun they had!
Favorite Memory of the Day:
My favorite memory of the day was following the ceremony Eric and I went to the beach for photographs (Lauren Kinsey you are amazing). It was the first quiet moment we had together as Mr. and Mrs. along with the most beautiful view of the sunset!
