Nicole + Matt’s Carillon Beach Wedding Reception

Like many couples, Nicole and Matt experienced a few covid cancellations. However, they were both very resilient and understanding during the rescheduling process. After a few rescheduled dates, Nicole and Matt were able to keep their original ceremony location and chose to change the reception location to a Carillion Beach wedding venue. In the long run, their wedding day turned out beautifully and was a dreamy 30A wedding.

Their Love Story

Little did Nicole know that a work trip to Switzerland would be the beginning of the rest of their lives together.

Nicole and Matt fell in love after meeting through work, where they found the perfect balance of travel and work together. During one work trip in July, the couple decided to extend their stay and continue personal travel. During one of their travel days, Matt surprised Nicole with a helicopter tour of the Swiss Alps, which alone was a dream come true. To Nicole’s surprise, Matt dropped down on one knee and proposed on the top of a glacier in the Swiss Alps. How dreamy!

The Wedding Day

Nicole and Matt’s wedding ceremony took place at Alys Beach, which held a special place in their hearts. Their outdoor wedding ceremony was timeless and elegant. Myrtie Blue did a fabulous job designing their wedding ceremony arch, which included lush white blooms and lots of greenery. The couple said their vows among close friends, family, and their two dogs. Incorporating their dogs into the wedding was important to Nicole and Matt, so we gave the dogs matching floral collars and had them stick around for family photos. It was so fun working with the dogs as they were not only incredibly adorable, but they were very well-behaved.

Carillon Beach Tented Wedding Reception

Nicole and Matt wanted their guests to fall in love with the 30A with a fun and social wedding reception. For this reason, we opted out of a formal plated meal service and went with a design that allowed movement, social interaction, and dancing. Food stations were set up within the tent amongst clusters of banquet seating and tables. The Myrtie Blue team brought their elegant design to life with whimsical floral arrangements that included muted blush and white tones. We absolutely loved how elegant and timeless this Carillion Beach tented wedding design turned out!
