This week we are celebrating the one-year anniversary of Caroline and Ryan’s Seaside wedding. So, we thought, what better way to celebrate than share some highlights from their dreamy Florida wedding day?
Their Love Story
It all started when Caroline and her friend drove down to Gulf Shores, AL, for a music festival. A mutual friend asked if Ryan could squeeze in the car for the five-hour road trip to Alabama. Out of the kindness of their hearts Caroline and her friend said yes. Little did they know that Caroline and Ryan would hit it off immediately and talk the whole way down south! After a weekend well spent getting to know each other, they knew they shared a special connection.
With a bit of help from Ryan’s sweet dog Yogi, Ryan popped the question one night at home while completely catching Caroline off guard. Yogi was an essential part of the proposal and carried a sign that read “Will you marry my Dad?” while Ryan had dropped down to one knee.
After the shock and excitement of what had just happened settled in, Caroline and Ryan enjoyed a lovely celebratory dinner that night before heading off to Seaside for a family vacation the following day.
A Seaside Wedding Design
Caroline and Ryan’s Seaside wedding design was a beautiful combination of romantic coastal elements with blue and white tones. They wanted an elegant aesthetic to compliment the surrounding coastal area with a relaxed and social environment for guests to enjoy.
Our team combined coastal elements like light blues and wood details and paired them with romantic garden features such as the boxwood champagne wall, DJ booth, and lush florals.
The Wedding Day
The couple enjoyed a relaxed morning getting ready along the Seaside. After some emotional first looks with her father, bridesmaids, and then, of course, Ryan, it was time for the two to say their I Do’s.
Caroline and Ryan chose to have their ceremony at one of the most recognizable locations for a Seaside wedding, The Chapel at Seaside. The Chapel is the perfect Seaside wedding venue for a quaint ceremony, and it is by far one of my favorite places for my couples to say I Do.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds headed to the beach with the lovely Wesleyann of Dear Wesleyann Photography. Wait until you see their sunset beach portraits; they are absolutely stunning!
Caroline and Ryan wrapped up their wedding day with an outdoor Seaside wedding reception at Bud and Alley’s, a local Seaside restaurant with a beautiful patio and outdoor space. Along with family and friends, the newlyweds enjoyed a delicious dinner and a great dance party!
Happy Anniversary Caroline & Ryan
What’s not to love about a romantic Seaside wedding along the beach? From their lovely ceremony to the picturesque reception near Seagrove beach, this charming coastal wedding was one to remember. We hope you enjoyed reflecting and reminiscing on Caroline and Ryan’s day as much as we did. Thank you, Caroline and Ryan, for trusting us with your wedding day! We hope your anniversary is filled with cherished memories of your special day!
